As cutting specialists, we easily achieve the narrow slitting widths that can be required by the nonwovens industry. We commonly slit to 20mm and readily deliver narrower on request. We can also repackage to very large diameters helping to improve your production efficiencies.

Uneven tension in winding rolls can be a common problem. Not with Bindatex Slitting and Sheeting. We have resolved this issue and enabled material salvage.

Supporting the medical sector

Our capacity expansion follows the successful completion of projects for several UK PPE manufacturers and other companies in the medical technology sector as well as supporting a range of nonwovens applications across numerous sectors from cosmetics to civil engineering.

We have also supplied die-cut filter disks for ventilators, directly supporting efforts to address the current pandemic.

Whether your needs are high production volumes or low development amounts for prototyping, we can meet your requirements.

“Our extensive experience in the aerospace industry means we apply attention to detail and quality processes in all areas of our work. When slitting to narrow widths with quick turn-around times for the nonwovens industry, this is especially important.

Bindatex Slitting & Sheeting – Focus on Solutions

In the ‘real-world’ it is often not sufficient that a supplier has the resources to deliver the products and services you ask for. There are times when it is important that a supplier can go beyond simply delivering, that they really understand your requirement and collaborate with you to create and implement a truly effective solution to customer needs.

The Covid-19 pandemic is just one of these times. Businesses, and the economy as a whole, have been significantly impacted by stringent lockdown. Coupled with frequent and often rapid development in government advice and policy, companies need to respond quickly to these changes in order to get back to business ASAP.

Normally a company cannot make these speedy responses in isolation. They need support from their suppliers.

As lockdown eases, companies are needing to adapt their business processes to trade in the ‘new normal’. Bindatex Slitting and Sheeting is proud to be supporting our customers.

With rapidly increasing demand for protective sheeting in a wide range of sizes and configurations, we have been able to quickly adapt our own production processes to deliver the right products on a reduced turnaround time

Bindatex Slitting and Sheeting provides a bespoke service, cutting suitable materials to any dimensions. In one instance, we cut a durable, protective film to protect upholstery for a retailer, allowing them to resume business more safely, in line with government guidelines

We were able to turn this requirement around within one week from initial enquiry to delivery.

“Being adaptable and versatile is something that we have always been proud of. We began this shift in capacity in March when we die-cut disks to be used in ventilators to help in the UK wide effort to supply the NHS, so to help the nation get back to work completes the circle after these hard few months.”

Chris Lever – Managing Director, Bindatex Ltd;

“We are used to slitting difficult-to-cut materials, however we can turn our hand to anything, no matter how big or small the order. All the team enjoy the challenge of coming together to provide solutions to resolve new problems and working to quick turnaround times.”

Helping to get the country’s retail industry get back to work

Bindatex Slitting and Sheeting is helping the country’s retailers get back to work. We have recently completed and shipped our first order of cut protective film. It is being used in homeware shops up and down the country to enable shoppers to “try and buy” new furniture.

The sheets of protective film empower retailers to allow shoppers to sit on furniture whilst minimising the risk COVID-19 transmission. Furthermore, it is easy to dispose of the sheets after use.

Bindatex Slitting and Sheeting provides a bespoke service, cutting suitable materials to any dimensions. In this instance, we cut a durable, protective film that protects upholstery and helps to prevent contamination. As a result, furniture retailers can resume business more safely in line with government guidelines

Protective sheets ready for despatch…

Bindatex’s customer, TPS Displays placed a large initial order for a major national homeware chain. With the relaxation of the government’s lockdown regulations, this retailer reopened stores for the sale of furniture on 15th June,

The order consisted of a large quantity of sheets of protective film cut to precise dimensions. These match the retailer’s ranges of furniture and shipped directly to stores and through the customer’s distribution hub. There was clear need to get the non-essential retail sector open for business again as soon as possible. This also helps the economy bounce back. Bindatex Slitting and Sheeting was able to turn this requirement around within one week from initial enquiry to delivery into stores.

Fit for purpose

The sheet of material has the ideal dimensions to be draped over a chair or sofa, hugging the contours. The customer can try the piece of furniture before buying and will get the full experience of the product.

The material is durable, non-absorbent and is easily replaced after each use. It provides a barrier to contamination and will be used by the retailer as a key element of their COVID-safe practices. Consequently, there is no requirement to quarantine the item
